Katrina in town and Volber

Haven't updated this week cause Katrina came to town. She's here for Volbrioo with some other girls. Because I still had to work this week we didn't do anything terribly exciting. I'm off to Tartu myself in a bit for some Volbri action which should be fun. No real place to stay but I figure I'll be up all night anyway so it doesn't matter, I can always catch a few z's at the Vironia house then head back home tomorrow at some point. I'll post pics later.

Every weekend hordes of Finns and Swedes come to town on these ferries looking for cheap booze and a good time, the usually find it. (Brits and Germans come via plane not ferry). Posted by Hello

Sushi Dinner

This past Thurday we had a work outing at a local sushi restaurant. We rented the palce out and ate, drank and had a good time. The night was capped off with a trip to Club Hollywood, needless to say Friday was not the most productive day at work for anyone.

Some more co-wokers. (Notice the lack of women in these photos. A tech company, what do you expect.) Posted by Hello

So I've lived here for about 5 months now and am still finding new things. Tallinn is small, Vanalinn is tiny but somehow I never knew there was an outdoor theatre just blocks from my house. Apparently Linnateater (the city theatre) put on productions out there once and awhile. I guess wandering around aimlessly sometime teaches you things. Posted by Hello

We'll everyone in Toronto was enjoying sunny hot weather, this is what I had to deal with today. If you can't quite tell from this picture taken out of my window that is snow! Yes, snow on April 20th. Posted by Hello

Another one of Tallinn's doors which I thought was cool, although for different reasons than the last one. Posted by Hello

Danger!!! No actually this is a naval museum just on the edge of Vanalinn. It took a little while before I figured out what the place was. Posted by Hello

Vanalinn has a lot of interesting front doors. Some wonderful carvings and colours in a lot of them, this is one example. Posted by Hello

A cold and little bit wet Sunday afternoon but a few brave (or more probably drunk) tourists managed to still have time for a beer outside. Posted by Hello

Pirita

Liisa and I went out to Pirita on a hazy, foggy Saturday afternoon. It was quiet, very nice.

The klooster was closed so we couldn't get in. :-( Posted by Hello
