That Christmas feeling

It's still mid-Novemeber but it's starting to feel a bit like Christmas. They've put up the massive tree in Raekoja (they don't light it until December to keep it fresh) and the Chritmas market is up as well. This evening it started to snow a bit so I took a walk and thought it may be worthy of a picture. Posted by Picasa

Slower Posting

I was looking at past posts and realized how much I've slowed down posting. Mostly it's because the winter seems to bring a level of hibernation with it and much less is going on here. I will be back in T.O. in about 1 month which is great, and next week a bunch of guys from T.O. are coming here for a week to celebrate Vironia's 105th anniversery.

Things In Estonia that make me laugh: Back home when you go to a supermarket you often get samples of the latest sausages, or deserts or whatever. Here we get to sample the latest wines, Gin Long drinks or Vodka's. Now try doing that in Loblaws.

Dark weekend

Liisa and I went to Saaremaa this friday with her dad and his girlfriend. The one big theme of the weekend was darkness. Last week the clocks went back 1 hour which means that it started getting dark by 5pm or so. That's not the worst of it though, it is currently getting darker by about 30 minutes a week right now. Which means daylight is in short supply. For some reason this winter seems a lot worse than last winter?
